MINKA 民家 is an old wooden Japanese house, and sadly most MINKA is destroyed when the owner decides to build a new house.
Some development in the preparatory set up of this project.
High tower crane is deployed to carry the pillars.
Still the adjustments are made by Daiku carpenters.
The boss instructs the young Daiku carpenter to plug in the pillar.
Every level of Daiku carpenters has work to do in this kind of big project.
On sunny days this process can be refreshing.
But of course life has rainy days which makes the process difficult, because each pieces of wood is alive.
It is simply amazing to think how our ancestors built such gigantic architecture using wood.
Without the cranes and other modern equipments!
Did they use magic?
We will see.
