Try French Wines with Japanese Food

Obviously, Japanese food like Sushi and Tofu goes well with Sake, but not with wines.

Why ?

Because it is said that soy sauce (Shoyu) taste, which is essential to Japanese food,

has conflict with fruity taste of wines.

So we conducted an experiment to see if the formula is mandatory.

Champagne: GOOD

Soda facilitates appetite for ANY food and make people happy.

White wine (SB, Ch): OK

Tofu, with or without Shoyu tasted natural, but Wasabi green pepper can be dangerous.

Red wine (Gamay, PN, CS, M): NOT BAD

Fried chicken (Kara-age) was fantastic with Gamay. I previously learned at my wine school, that Beaujolais Nouveau matches Oden vegetable soup, which I agree. As for other grape varieties, hot dog was better than Sushi.

Sauternes: Natto beans can be an option, but we settled with blue cheese.
